Q:How is the play/characters?
A: If MMVS had the same features of the actual games (invincibility after each hit, always knockback, etc.) the game would be too repetitive and the winner would only be the stronger gun. The game has a combo timer where as long as shots are close enough together, you'll get three damage before the combo counter is up. This gives the game a huge amount of depth on deciding when the best time is to attack (You might be able to get one or two quick shots now, but you might want wait to get closer and add more damage with a charge shot slide and 3 shot combo.)
Q:Whats the starting rooster?
A:Proto Man, Mega Man, Roll, and the Robot Masters of Mega Man 1.
Q:Why not have Robot Masters from all 6 NES games instead of just the first 3?
A:Because the first three are the glory age of Mega Man. I can go back to any of the first 3 on my Wii and play for hours and not be bored with RunningOutOfIdeasForBosses Man from 4-6. Its hard enough to adapt bosses that don't look like the could move at all and don't in their games for the game already. (Air Man. I'm looking at you.) Not to mention the game would be held back even more.
Q:Is the game going to have weaknesses?
A:It's planned. It may be taken out if its too overpowered to even be implemented.
Q:Is there unlockable stuff?
A:Yes. All of it is unlocked through the single player campaigns.
Q:How do you unlock X character/campaign?
A:To unlock MOST of the characters, you'll need to beat them in a fight. There is sometimes special criteria into getting the chance to fight an unlockable, but thats a secret. To unlock the Mega Man 2 and 3 campaigns, beat mega man 1. To unlock Wily's Last Stand, beat MM2 and 3. The bonus... is a secret
Q:Is this game 8-bit?
A:Graphics, sound, and music, Yes.
Q:Any hardware/software requirements?
A:"Game Maker requires a Pentium PC running Windows 2000, Me, XP, Vista, or later. A DirectX 8 (or later) compatible graphics card with at least 32MB of memory is required for most created games. It requires a screen resolution of at least 800x600 and 65000 (16-bit) colors. Also a DirectX 8 compatible sound card is required. Make sure you have the most recent drivers installed. Game Maker requires DirectX version 8.0 or later to be installed on your computer. (You can download the newest version of DirectX from the Microsoft website at: www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/.) "
Unless your computer is "Livin' in the Stone Age, eh he!" you'll be fine.
Q:When will a demo/the game be released?
A:When its done. I don't have any expectations for dates because of how slow I am at working on it. I take my time, and I really don't have a set schedule for working on it. Though I'm comming real close to the starting rooster being finished.
Q:What's this being developed in?
A: Game Maker 7 Pro.
Q:Can I have the Game Maker File?
A:No. I might put up some examples on how I do a few things, feel free to ask in the appropriate forum.
Ask if you need any clarification or have a new question to be added.
